[Review] Ippudo, Authentic Japanese Ramen in Jakarta

This time I'm gonna review a Japanese Restaurant that is not only specializing their menus in Ramen but many other japanese-foods, yay! You guys must have known Ippudo, right? Located in the 5th Floor Pacific Place, this restaurant is quite easy to find.


This restaurant basically serves authentic Japanese foods, and most of the ingredients are from Japan as well. For the place, it is spacey and looks more-like modern instead of Classis japanese restaurant that fully made of wood. Ippudo wants you to feel the elegance yet classic ambience with their dim-light. I saw a small Private room in the corner, I guess you can book it for a small-party-like.

Oh, Ippudo originally come from Fukuoka, Japan. And now they have branches in all over the world, even UK and USA! Great isn't it? For me, that's a really big achievment for such a restaurant! It means that they have profesionality and you can easily see it from their hospitality if you ever have had a chance to pay a visit.

My visit to Ippudo was to try their new menus that hasn't been served to the public. I tell you again, it's just no ramens :D So let's see!

Deep-Fried Squid with Nori


Firstly, for the fingerfood they served this fried squid with a small cut of lemon. Honestly I didn't know what was the lemon for, I guess you have to pour it or what. But because I don't like that, I just ate the squid and yummm it tasted good! It's crispy and fresh, I can tell it. They mixed it with Nori which makes the taste richer.

Hot Potato Salad



For you guys who love veggies, yes it's a must try! I don't know but I love it especially when it's still hot. The veggies are just light, creamy and again, Fresh! Such a perfect fingerfood.

Kushi Katsu




Oh yeah, not doubt that this is my favouriteee. Gosh, I love how they served this pork! First bite you'll experience they lovely-crunchy outside, and then there's the fat and I admint it's kinda tought but it's alright because the pork is just great. I mean they have a very nice combination for this dish.

Akamaru Kakuni



So as I told you that I were tasting their new menus and this is one of them, A red bowl Ramen because 'Aka(レッド)' means Red in Japanese, and 'Maru(丸)' means Circle or I guess it means 'Bowl' for this dish. I asked 'Normal' for the hardness level of the noodle when their waiter asked, and 'Medium' for the spiciness level. It comes with a big portion, not just the bowl but the ramen as well lol. On top of it, they put a very tempting Pork belly. The broth tasted nice and yumm, but I guess it was less salty. The noodle is thin and perfect! I love to slurp it until it sounds like 'Slurppp' XD



Shiromaru Kakuni


Shiromaru means 'White Bowl'. Still with large Pork Belly as the topping, it has white tonkotsu broth. For the filling it has bean sprouts, kikurage & spring onions. It tasted more salty than the Akamaru Ramen, which is better for me. Again, the noodle is just perfect. But it will be better if they serve it with half-cut boiled egg, don't you think?

Karakamen Ramen


This one served with a big black bowl. I don't know what's the meaning of Karakamen so I can't tell you about this one lol. The ramen itself tasted yummy, I recommend you to order the spicy one because the taste will be richer. And the Pork belly just completes it!

Beef Teppanyaki



This one looks unique, served in a hot plate with fried noodle around the rice and there's this beef in the middle. Don't forget to scramble the egg while it's hot so that it will mix with the rice instead of cooked by the corner! :D Tasted yumm and the beef is tender, you might wanna try this.

The Ocha was just fine, you can order Hot or Cold. It's not a secret that Ocha is the best dish to accompany you enjoying Japanese food :D


Ippudo sucessfully delivered yummy authentic Japanese foods to me! Not just deliz but also fresh, because they said they wouldn't served like frozen ingredients if they can serve the fresh ones. I also love their hospitality, but you have to bear the noise from the waiters as they always yelling to welcoming or good bye-ing the customers, bet you've ever experienced it in the other japanese restaurants. So if you're craving for yummy Authentic Japanese Food with fresh ingredients, Ippudo is a-must to go!
